Poverty In The USA

Why is it that our country has one of the highest poverty levels.

* About 15 million chrildren-one out of every 4-live below the official poverty line.

*22% of Americans under 18-- and 25% under 12---are hungry or at risk of being hungry.

*Everyday 2,660 children are born into poverty; 27 die because of it.

* Children and families are the fastest growing group in the homeless population, representing 40%.
You ask how can we help?

We are a group of parents and children trting to bring smiles to the faces of many families on many occasions.  With the help of everyone we can make a change.
 

Fortunely, some Americans care.  This is why we are hitting the communities nationwide to help.  Support from everyone is of the upmost importance.  Have you ever not had food on your table?  As a child were you picked on for not have new or name brand clothing?  On Thanksgiving did you have roman noddles rather than a real feast?  For Christmas, was there nothing under your tree or did you even have a tree?  These are just a few questions that make people realize that there are families that need our help.  Doesn't matter how big or small the help is but to have someone lend a hand makes it easier to reach out for it.
